Program Highlights
CPAL 2024 features an exciting program beginning Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 and concluding Saturday, January 6th. Please consult the conference program for a convenient view of the time and date of all events.
These events include:
- An opening ceremony on Day 1, with remarks from Xiang Zhang, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong, and Harry Shum Heung-Yeung, IAS Professor-at-Large Emeritus, HKUST and CPAL General Chair, to inaugurate the conference
- Morning and afternoon sessions with research presentations, invited talks, tutorials, and more, chaired by members of the organization committee:
- Jan 3: morning Yi Ma, afternoon Chong You
- Jan 4: morning Qi Lei, afternoon Gintare Karolina Dziugaite
- Jan 5: morning Qing Qu, afternoon Yuejie Chi
- Jan 6: morning Sam Buchanan
- Keynotes from leading experts, each one hour in length
- Six oral sessions featuring authors of accepted proceedings track papers
- Two spotlight poster sessions showcasing the recent spotlight track
- Three rising stars presentation sessions featuring CPAL Rising Stars awardees
- Open-to-the-public tutorials, delivered on the final day of the conference, in two parallel tracks
- A panel discussion on Day 2
- Social and networking events, including a welcome reception (Day 1), and for registered attendees, a banquet dinner (Day 2) and a tram party (Day 3)
- Morning tailored wellness sessions on Days 2–4 of the conference
